IISE Tainos during Covid-19 crisis

We want to update and inform our members of the IISE Taínos Chapter #698 and the entire university community. We hope that all of you and your family members are in good health. During these times, we must protect our health and our loved ones. Please, we ask you to be aware of the instructions that were issued by the government to keep our peeople safe and free from contagion. #stopthespread

As you know, the university is closed. However, as a responsibility with the chapter and our students, we must work hard to fulfill our duties. We want to report that a meeting was held between the incoming board and the outgoing board to begin the transition. The incoming board is currently on next year’s chapter operations plan. At the moment, the two directives are working hard together to bring the best resources needed and promote activities remotely in which you can participate. Some of the activities carried out were:

LinkedIn 101 Webinar by Ethan Rodriguez, 2020-2021 IISE Taínos President

Ergonomics: practical experiences and future challengde by Luis Mustafa, Supply Chain Leader at Johnson and Johnson.

#IISEPoloDay every Wednesday

Ex-Presidents Experience Panel, IISE Taínos Board Alumni

After this, the new board held a meeting where the path we want to take was established and the work on the strategic plan for the next university year began, which has many ideas for activities and workshops for our members and students of the Ana G. Mendez University. We are eager and excited to show you what we are working on; we have great ideas and we count on your support to achieve them! As a way of prevention, the annual banquet of our chapter, that was scheduled for the end of the semester, has been postponed to a later date. We invite you to subscribe to the blog to be up to date with news and information relevant to our operations. Also, don't forget to follow us on the other networks below. @iisetainos Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
